GIST Business Incubation: A golden opportunity for global innovators

Posted by

Are you an innovator with a great idea that can make a positive impact on the world? Do you want to take your venture to the next level and learn from some of the best incubators in America? If yes, then you should apply for the GIST Business Incubation program, a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs from emerging economies to develop their skills, network, and scale their businesses.

The GIST Business Incubation program is an initiative of the U.S. Department of State, in partnership with VentureWell, a non-profit organization that supports early-stage innovators. The program aims to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in science and technology sectors, and promote economic growth and social development in emerging regions.

The program offers selected innovators a chance to spend four weeks at one of the leading incubators in the U.S., where they will receive mentorship, training, and access to resources and facilities. They will also participate in a one-week networking event in Washington, D.C., where they will meet with U.S. government officials, investors, and industry experts.

The program is open to innovators from 132 countries, who have a science or technology-based venture that addresses a global challenge. The applicants must have a working prototype or a minimum viable product, and have some traction or validation in their local markets. The applicants must also demonstrate their commitment to social impact, sustainability, and scalability.

The application deadline for the 2024 cohort is January 15, 2024. The selected innovators will be announced in March 2023, and the program will run from June to July 2024. The program is fully funded by the U.S. Department of State, and covers the costs of travel, accommodation, visa, insurance, and stipend.
